Programmed Activities

Students of all ages participate in physical education on a weekly basis:

Nursery School
This age group enjoys two sports activities weekly, one at school and the other at the sports field.

EGB and Polimodal

  • At the sports field for 1hr 30 mins students are involved in hockey, football and athletics.
  • At school for 50 mins students, participate in general physical education activities.

After school activities

The following activities are optional; Rugby, hockey, gymnastics, taekwondo and swimming. Rugby and hockey are played twice a week and swimming once a week.

Tournaments and encounters

We take part in the tournaments organised by the Association of Bilingual Schools, A.Co.Bi. During the year, we participate in organised meetings on Saturdays with the Interschool Hockey League and the Northern Football League of which we are affiliated.

We also take part in the friendship league and other tournaments organized in E.G.B and Polimodal.

Sports Tours
The school, organised by the sports department, arranges tours of this country and other countries so that students can participate in other sports tournaments. In this way, students will have the opportunity of taking part in enriching experiences with groups of students from other schools and areas.

Camping trips
Camping trips are organised so that students may enjoy and experience nature and build up team spirit through bonfires, songs and games. These camping trips vary in place and duration according to the age group of the students.

Sports day/Week
Each year in September or October, the sports department organises the sports day or week, depending on the time allocated to this event.

The event takes place at the sports field and both students and parents participate.

Each year the sports week invites students to participate in competitions organised in the different sports practised at school. All students belong to a team, (at San Joaquin's the teams are defined by colours) and at the end of the event, the winning team is presented with a prize. Parents also take part in this event as an integration activity.

Other Activities
Open classes, meetings with parents and students, and talks about sports and health, drug prevention and sex education are also organised.

Our Sports Field is situated in Munro

The address is; Drago 5790, Munro, Vicente Lopez.

Cultural expansion and organised journeys.
The experience of travelling with a group of peers is an integral experience.

Students become more independent and become aware of what constitutes a group experience whilst at the same time confronting panoramas that are as incredible as that of the Iguazu waterfalls.

As part of the international exchange programme with countries such as Brazil and the United States of America, students deal with the perfection of the language together with the experience of living with other teenagers whose customs and traditions are different from ones own. For teenagers these experiences and opportunities cannot be missed.

Projects and trips.

  • The Valdez Peninsula.
  • Iguazu Falls
  • Cultural exchange with Brazil
  • Cultural Exchange with U.S.A Nomination for the Washington Congressional Youth Leadership Council
  • Junior Achievement Educational Programmes.
    Fort Lauderdale U.S.A
